I always get excited when there is good news on the Alzheimer’s therapy research front.
A team of researchers at the University of Minnesota has identified a type of plaque that represents a new potential therapeutic target for Alzheimer’s disease. This is an important discovery because the current treatments are amyloid-focused. Those treatments have modest results. This newly discovered plaque opens the door for a new treatment target.
