My Alzheimer's Journey
Part 60 - 100 Subscribers
My Alzheimer’s Journey just received its 100th subscriber.
What an awesome milestone to start 2026! I am deeply humbled and appreciative of everyone’s support.
I wrote the first post on September 14, 2025. My primary reason for starting the blog was to keep family and friends up to date on my Alzheimer’s journey. Secondarily, I had hopes that maybe my experiences would be helpful to caregivers and other people with Alzheimer’s.
Rather quickly, I started receiving texts and emails from people reading the blog. These messages were telling me how much they enjoyed my posts. This was encouraging. It pushed me to continue my writing about Alzheimer’s, emerging treatments, new research projects, and really anything about this horrible disease.
I know my subscriber base includes caregivers, physicians, people suffering from Alzheimer’s, researchers, friends, and family. Geographically, most subscribers are located in the United States, with a handful scattered around Canada and Europe.
I plan to expand my focus this year by writing stories about individuals with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Following yesterday’s story, I plan to continue to share the plight of Ukrainians suffering with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Of course, the primary focus will be to share my journey.
I have a request for this year. Please submit comments telling me your thoughts on what I write. The power of the blog to help others will be greatly enhanced if we create a community with many perspectives and ideas.
Thank you very much for your support. It means the world to me.
