We have signed a lease on an apartment in Downtown Durham. Having lived in Durham for about fifteen years (left Durham is 2012), it feels good to be going back. I certainly wish our return to the Bull City was for reasons other than my health. I think it will be good therapy to live in Durham. Linda and I met in Durham, I owned a business there, I was active in the community, and I suspect Wool.E.Bull has missed me.
Our apartment is on the sixth floor of the Bullhouse. The views of the city from our apartment are spectacular. We are walking distance to the Durham Bulls ballpark and the Durham Performing Arts Center. And, of course, as a foodie city, there are numerous restaurants close by.
I have to give a big thank you to TROSA Moving for handling our relocation. Many years ago, I served on the Board of Directors at TROSA. They are a non-profit residential treatment program for individuals with substance abuse disorders. Part of the program and a large portion of their financial sustainability are their social enterprises. TROSA Moving & Storage offers full service local and long distance moving services. I have always known TROSA as an organization with a big heart and a willingness to help those in need. They are demonstrating their kindness and generosity with our upcoming move.
In the past few days, I have experienced more confusion and changes in my mood. I am ready to start the rigorous treatments.
