Hello Friends,
The United States Social Security Act was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on this date in 1935. Many Alzheimer’s patients depend on Social Security.
Here are a few interesting facts about Social Security:
Approximately 71.3 million Americans receive traditional Social Security benefits as of mid-2026. That number climbs to roughly 75.7 million when you include Supplemental Security Income recipients.
Roughly 1 in every 5 U.S. residents relies on these monthly payments for financial support.
About 87% of all Americans aged 65 or older receive Social Security income.
The system currently relies on 2.9 active workers paying payroll taxes for every 1 beneficiary drawing from the fund
I continue to seek activities to keep my Alzheimer’s brain focused on learning and reading. My latest activity is learning how artificial intelligence works. Along that journey, I became fascinated with artificial intelligence’s ability to create animation for video.
My 35 years of experience in television and corporate video production started as a lowly floor manager at a CBS affiliate and ended as a producer/director for a wide range of corporate and consumer programs. I miss the business of video production - especially the creative side.
My video experience and my interest in artificial intelligence led me to try my hand at producing an AI video. This foray into artificial intelligence has certainly exercised my mind. The challenges are immense.
Here is my first attempt at a very short artificial intelligence video. I wrote the script, and I edited the video using Canva. All the elements (animation, music, and narration) were created by artificial intelligence. Feedback is encouraged. I have thick skin, so bring on the criticism.
