I was diagnosed the summer of 2025. I finally quit working in January this year. I was a programmer/analyst. I finally quit my job last January. It was time for my review and I didn’t want to sit through it and cry, so I cleaned out my desk after hours and left my laptop and a note. It’s not like I needed a job reference anymore.

I just read my post. The old me would have fixed things where I wrote January twice. The current me doesn’t think I should waste my time on things like that.

Thanks for writing what you are going through. It helps knowing that there are many of us going through the same thing the best we can.

You seem to be doing really well. It’s so great that you have a strong sense of purpose and are able to communicate it so well.

I read a lot. Hours every day. I read how others with Alzheimer’s deal with things, if they are trying new things or not. I read about nutrition on what might help. I have found things written years ago on what the treatments were. I know that I will forget a lot of what I read, but that just means that I have something to read again. For example, I’ve been reading a lot about DSMO. Some people think it would help for Alzheimer’s, but it has not been approved for it. I think it can be used for other things, but I can’t remember without looking it up again.
