My Alzheimer's Journey
Part 43 – Friday Fun
I am starting a Friday tradition today.
Rather than writing about Alzheimer’s research, my current condition, or anything serious, Friday posts will be fun and light. Something to help you ease into weekend mode.
On this day in 1980, I was watching Dallas to learn who shot JR. Were you one of the 350 million people who tuned into CBS for this big event? This prime-time soap opera was a major pop culture event.
I am a Redditor. I have been for many years. A cool thing happened this morning, I met another Redditor who is receiving Lecanemab infusions at Duke. We have infusions on different days; but, maybe we can meet for coffee down the road.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been out doing their thing in Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh this week.
And, boy have they been getting pushback from activists who disagree with their tactics. In fact, Durham has postponed their Christmas tree lighting ceremony tonight because several gatherings are planned to show support for the immigrant community. All the protests have been peaceful and safe.
Next week, I will have blog posts about the following:
Do people with Alzheimer’s know they have it?
How much has the Trump administration cut Alzheimer’s research spending?
What would $150 million in new Alzheimer’s research investment mean?
I have an infusion scheduled Tuesday. My blanket and Big Bit are prepared to comfort me afterward.
Have a great weekend, everyone. I wish you peace and strength.
