My Alzheimer's Journey
Part 27 - Side Effects Update
Just before midnight, the chills started. I turned on my Linus blanket and Linda put two blankets on top of it. Additionally, there were two cats on top of the blankets. The chills were manageable at that point.
I also began having muscle aches, primarily in my legs.
At about 2:00 a.m., the chills suddenly stopped. Like flipping a switch. Linda and I believe this short period of chills means that my body is adjusting and becoming acclimated to Lecanemab.
The muscle aches continued throughout the night. The pain is subsiding now.
All in all, the side effects were very manageable. Today will be a day of rest.
