Hello, friends.
The school shooting in Bend, Oregon this afternoon is beyond tragic. As Linda and I watched the press conference moments ago, we were stunned at how a 16-year-old child could kill fellow humans. We may never know the answer.
Our hearts go out to the parents of the injured and deceased children, the family of the educator killed, and everyone who calls Bend home. It will take a very long time to recover from this awful situation.
Many Alzheimer’s patients have a difficult time dealing with horrific tragedy. Our brains struggle to process and understand events like this. If you have a loved one with Alzheimer’s or if you are a caregiver, please keep your loved one close.
Linda and I are thankful for the courageous citizen who took action to stop the killing of innocent people. We are amazed and appreciative of the highly trained law enforcement and first responders who arrived on scene within minutes after the first 911 call.
Most importantly, we wish peace and strength to everyone impacted by this tragedy.
Greg
